EzCompostr is a Composting as a Service (CaaS) multi-award winning social enterprise started by a group of passionate NUS students who have passions in Sustainability and solving the problem of food wastage.
We aim to make composting much easier and convenient for people to take part in simply through our integrated composting bin and educational workshops.
In 2022, Singapore grappled with a significant food waste issue, yet only 18% of this waste was recycled. While composting stands out as one of the quickest and most efficient methods for recycling food waste, many shy away from it due to perceptions of it being dirty, challenging, and odorous. Moreover, a typical composting bin can cost upwards of $70 in the market.
Our first flagship product, MunchFo, allows individuals to engage with composting right at their fingertips. Using the bokashi composting method, MunchFo is beginner-friendly and accommodates most food waste types, promising a faster composting cycle. With an airtight seal, users are spared concerns about unpleasant odors or pests too.
